The role of media in environmental awareness



Media took power as a fourth authority in the current rapidly moving contemporary. The huge revolution of mass communication and the exchange of information, ideas and cross cultures make nations, who put themselves apart of it, not interacting positively and deeply, isolated from the other parts of the world.



Media trends toward the environment are innovative. They appear on the surface due to the negative deteriorated effects of technology on the environment. As a result, media has to shed light on the environmental awareness through its different broadcast, print and electronic channels. Media incorporates the exerted efforts to protect the environment and the natural resources from the dangerous effects of pollution through the adherence to the social and values of the society.



Pollution becomes a national social phenomenon for both developed and under developed countries. The first was polluted by the nucleus pollution and the latter due to the misadministration of the environmental systems.



Media has to do its part through spreading awareness of the environment terminologies and the problems that face the environment in schools, houses and every where. Media programs should be addressed to all of the society sectors with no body neglected through reviving local, regional and international occasions to achieve the environmental awareness. Mass media pushes toward positive behaviors regarding environmental issues and the social awareness programs.



There is a rising deep and comprehensive cooperation between the media institutions and official authorities to produce the adequate awareness and publishing brochures. In addition to creating interactive programs with the public and recorded documentaries to cover the official and non official environmental activities.

دور الإعلام في دعم الحوار والسلم الأهلي دور الإعلام في دعم الحوار والسلم الأهلي إن الحوار هو لغة العقل وهو نوع من التشاور بين المتحاورين حول موضوعات مختلفة عليها نتيجة طرح كل فريق وجهة نظره والحجج الداعمة لها ، توصلا إلى قواسم مشتركة ترضي كل الفرقاء المتحاورين. كما إن الحوار الوطني يحتاج إلى دعم، وأن السلم الأهلي والوحدة الوطنية يحتاجان إلى دعم، وترسيخ وتنفيذ اتفاق القاهرة ومكة ووثيقة الأسرى كلها تحتاج إلى دعم ، ويعتبر مدخل إلى تسوية الخلافات وحل النزاعات . وينظر إلي الحوار كواحد من تجليات الديمقراطية التبادلية، التي يجب أن نحرص عليها في فلسطين لأن الديمقراطية التعبيرية والنقاشية هي من صفات شعبنا المقاوم ، الذي من المؤكد يعرف قيمة الكلمة ودورها وتأثيرها في صناعة القرارات الوطنية الصلبة. زمن الانقسام الحالي ، الذي نعيشه بتحدياته ، وارتقاباته ، وتوقعاته ، ومخاوفه ، ومحاذيره، ونواكبه بحدسنا وحسنا لأننا نراهن على النيات الصريحة، والضمائر الواعية، والطروح الانفتاحية، التي هي من أساسيات تحرير فلسطين الذي نتطلع إلى مستقبله الزاهر. والكلام على الحوار كفعل وطني، وكفن من فنون الديمقراطية

حرية الرأي والتعبير في الصحافة والإعلام بقلم الدكتور: زهير عابد لاشك أن حرية الإعلام إنما هي امتداد للفكر والاعتقاد، وهي احدي صور حرية الرأي والتي بدورها واحدة من الحريات العامة تلك الحريات التي كانت علي الدوام محل نزاع بين السلطات الخاصة والعامة. فالإعلام هو تزويد الناس بالأخبار الصحيحة والمعلومات السليمة والحقائق الثابتة، وحرية الإعلام والصحافة تعني حق الحصول على المعلومات من أي مصدر ونقلها وتبادلها والحق في نشر الأفكار والآراء وتبادلها دون قيود والحق في إصدار الصحف وعدم فرض رقابة مسبقة على ما تقدمه وسائل الإعلام إلا في أضيق الحدود وفيما يتصل بالأمن القومي، وحرية الإعلام والصحافة فقد أصبحت بديهية لا ينازع فيها أحد وضمانها نص الإعلان العالمي لحقوق الإنسان ونصوص الدساتير المتتابعة والتي تأكدت بصفة خاصة في الإعلان العالمي لحقوق الإنسان الذي صدر سنة 1948. وتفسير معنى حرية التعبير يختلف اختلافا كبيرا عند التطبيق من دولة إلى أخرى، إذ تعتبر بعض النظم السياسية أن حرية الإعلام والصحافة هي حجر الزاوية في الديمقراطية وتحميها بالقانون، في حين قد تقيد هذه الحرية في بعض النظم الأخرى وفق ما
